Potton Timber Framed Extensions To Existing Property
As a result of our involvement in the National Self Build and Renovation Centre we have worked on a number of Potton projects. Potton is one of the UK’s longest established timber frame manufacturers with over 40 years’ experience in quality timber engineering.
In this development we supplied and installed 130m2 prime grade, European Oak, engineered flooring over under-floor heating. The doors throughout the property, which included a set of French Doors, were bespoke solid European Oak. The contemporary staircase was solid American white Oak with glass balustrades, chrome fixings and rounded Oak newels, all supplied and installed by Brill Sawmills.
New Build, Buckinghamshire
One of our favourite projects, we were asked by the client to supply and install floors, doors and stairs. We fitted stunning prime grade engineered flooring to the dining and media rooms, and a character grade engineered sprung floor to his gymnasium, all over under-floor heating.
Throughout the new build property, we installed contemporary engineered Oak veneered doors.
Eco Contemporary New Build, South Buckinghamshire
The architect chose Brill Sawmills as his preferred supplier and installer for all the joinery work on this award-winning project. We provided the complete ‘turnkey’ solution; sourcing, manufacturing and installing bespoke hardwood of the highest quality.
Upon entering this New Build, the solid wood front door reveals a beautiful Walnut lined hallway and oversized interior doors. These Walnut doors and over-panels with concealed hinges were designed and realised in tandem with the architect. We laid engineered Walnut lacquered floor over under-floor heating and the media room is accessed via an acoustic walnut and glass door.
Outside, we supplied and installed 100 m2 stunning glazed Ipe terracing.
Stunning New Build, Oxfordshire
Brill Sawmills supplied and installed 95m2 Oak engineered flooring over under-floor heating, and four hand-made curved staircase flights with continuous solid Oak handrail. We also supplied and installed fully finished hardwood sliding sash and casement windows along with bi-fold door sets and all the internal doors.
To meet the owner’s requirements, we worked with him and the architect to create the bespoke contemporary staircase.
Renovation, Barn Conversion In Northamptonshire
Brill Sawmills supplied and installed all the external solid European Oak joinery to this project. This consisted of solid doors, French doors and casement windows. At the time of the project, working with the owner, we developed a forward thinking solution to prevent heat loss and UV prevention using Krypton filled windows.
The property was hardwood floored throughout with European Oak flooring over under-floor heating. In addition, we developed with the client, a stunning hand-made character staircase to work in an awkward space. This complemented the hardwood flooring.
New Build, Two properties, Buckinghamshire
We have worked on a number of projects with John, the developer, and these two properties were simply stunning. Located in the beautiful countryside near Henley-On-Thames, we supplied and installed Oak beam work, Oak flooring, bespoke Oak doorsets, solid Oak staircases and Oak windows to both properties.
We have since completed another project with John in Oxfordshire and we are currently working together on a large barn conversion on the Welsh border.
New Build, Berkshire
This was one of the first projects we undertook through the National Self Build and Renovation Centre. We were invited by the Centre to lecture on ‘hardwood in the home’ on one of the Expert Days they hold there.
After the seminar we were contacted by the client and the culmination of all our hard work was a simply stunning build; with Brill Sawmills supplying and installing all the external joinery, Oak flooring, Oak veneered doors and a solid Oak staircase.
Arts and Crafts Manor House
The Manor was a stunning project located in a former part of the Windsor Castle estate, inspired by the Arts and Crafts period. This was the third project we have completed for the award winning developer and architect and we are currently involved in three further builds as part of our ongoing partnership. We supplied and installed all the joinery to The Manor, including the French Oak, hand made marquetry panels to the triple vaulted dining room, the oak doors, and all the oak skirting boards and architraves. The triple flight staircase was hand made to refelect the Arts and Crafts period and the hardwood windows really worked with the style of the build.
